The company was formed in response to an increasing demand by healthcare providers for
experienced, quality medical billing professionals. In addition, as a result of strict
HIPAA regulations and complex policies for filing insurance claims, providers are choosing
more often to outsource this portion of their practice, thus reducing overhead and allowing
both physician and staff to focus primarily on patient care.
About Our Owners
Deborah Pherson brings over 18 years of medical billing experience to the company. Before
deciding to start her own medical billing center, she was the accounts receivable manager
for Beth L. Kamhi, D.C., consistently yielding high collection ratios for this large,
multi-provider chiropractic practice. She has extensive knowledge of commercial insurance
company and Medicare guidelines and HIPAA compliancy, as well as expertise in filing both
electronic and paper claims.
Lisa Wagner brings a background in client management, database management and customer
service, specifically in the fields of advertising and direct marketing, to the company.
After receiving a bachelor's degree in marketing from Merrimack College, she went on to
work for a direct marketing agency, managing multi-million dollar direct mail campaigns
for the company's largest client. Lisa's customer relations experience allows her to
provide clients of Merrimack Billing Solutions with one on one attention to the specific
needs of their practice, translating these needs into results.
